In 2018, he diversified into logistics as a FedEx contractor, growing a fleet from just four trucks to more than 50. Most recently, he expanded into the fast-food industry with the acquisition of a Chicken Express in Cypress, Texas, with plans for further growth.
Outside of business and public service, John is active in his community and remains closely connected to TCU through his work on several boards and committees. In 2022, he was named an advisory director at Austin County State Bank in Bellville.
At the heart of his life are his wife, Katie, and their two children, Jack and Sheridan, who attend All Saints Episcopal School in Fort Worth.
